Amazon Wholesale FBA: The Full Process from Brand to First Sale
A lot of people hear about Amazon wholesale and think it's easy money — just buy branded products cheap and resell them on Amazon.
The idea is right. But the process has more steps than most beginners expect, and each step is a place where people lose time and money.
What Amazon wholesale actually is
You open a wholesale account with a real brand or authorized distributor, buy their genuine products at wholesale price, and sell them on the product's existing Amazon listing under FBA.
It's not private label (your own brand), and it's not retail arbitrage (buying from stores). You're an authorized reseller of an existing brand.
The full journey, step by step
- Find legitimate brands that accept new Amazon sellers
- Contact them professionally and open a wholesale account
- Get approved / ungated for the brand on Amazon
- Read the price list and research which products are actually profitable
- Place the order (MOQ, purchase order, invoice)
- Pay the supplier the cheapest safe way (ACH, wire, Wise, Melio)
- Create the Amazon shipment, print labels, send to supplier
- Amazon receives the stock → it goes live → sales → reorder
Where beginners actually get stuck
- Finding brands that reply and accept new sellers — most cold emails get ignored.
- Getting brand approval / ungating without the right documents.
- Picking profitable products instead of low-margin ones that lose money after Amazon fees.
- Shipment packing — choosing Case Pack vs Individual Units correctly.
Any one of these done wrong can cost you weeks, or a whole order's worth of money.
Do it yourself, or get guided
You can absolutely learn all of this yourself — it just takes months of trial and error, and a few expensive mistakes along the way.
If you'd rather skip the costly mistakes, this is exactly the kind of work I help Bangladeshi sellers with — from product research to brand approval to the full done-for-you wholesale setup.
