What it is
BMET (Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training) handles the registration, clearance and smart card every Bangladeshi must have to legally work abroad. New clearance applications run through the government portal; approved smart cards can be downloaded by passport number. This is the official record that protects a worker's rights overseas.

Why I use it
Never go abroad for work without BMET clearance — it's what makes the migration legal and gives you protection if something goes wrong. New clearances now go through the government's own oc.bmet.gov.bd.
