What it is
DigitalOcean made cloud approachable. Droplets, managed databases, Spaces and App Platform are all simple to reason about, and their tutorials taught a whole generation of developers how to deploy. Slightly pricier than Hetzner, but the experience is smoother.

Why I use it
Great when a client wants a recognizable brand and clean dashboard. I still point junior devs to DO's tutorials before anything else.
