A production deployment checklist that adapts to your app
Shipping to production is more than pushing code. Real users mean real consequences: a missing SSL certificate, an un-tested backup, debug mode left on, or no rate limiting can each turn launch day into an incident. This production readiness checker walks you through the seven areas that decide whether an app survives contact with real traffic — Security, Performance, Scalability, Monitoring, Backup, Error Handling and Deployment — and scores you honestly.
Because the checklist adapts to your project type and enabled features, you only see what actually matters for you — payment security and retry logic appear when you turn on Payments; upload scanning when you enable File Upload. Use it before every launch, and during reviews, to make sure nothing critical slips through.
Common questions
Is my app ready for production?
Pick your project type and features, then tick everything you've already set up. The checker gives you a readiness score and a clear status — Ready, Almost Ready or Not Ready — plus exactly what's still missing. You're only 'Ready' when every critical item (SSL, secrets, backups, secure auth, no leaked errors) is done.
How is the readiness score calculated?
Each checklist item is weighted by severity — critical counts most, then recommended, then optional. Your score is the weighted share of items you've completed. Critical items also act as gates: any unchecked critical item caps your status below 'Ready', no matter how high the percentage.
What does a production deployment checklist include?
Seven areas: Security, Performance, Scalability, Monitoring, Backup, Error Handling and Deployment Setup. The tool only shows items relevant to your project and features — so a website's list is shorter than a payments-enabled marketplace's.
Does it store my answers?
No. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere or saved on a server. Use the Copy report button to keep your checklist.
