How accurate is this estimate?
It's a planning estimate, not a guarantee. It uses sensible averages (a few requests per page view, a peak multiplier for busy hours) to give you the right order of magnitude — enough to pick a server size and avoid nasty surprises. Real load depends on your code, caching and database.
What is the peak factor?
Traffic isn't spread evenly across 24 hours — it spikes at busy times. The peak factor multiplies your average requests/second to estimate that busy-hour peak. 3–5× is typical; use a higher number for apps with sharp daily spikes (news, ticketing, flash sales).
